Despite Microsoft's mobile platform is dead, today yet another Windows 10 Mobile concept is making rounds on the internet. This is not only data store on the machine itself, but that which has been stored on Microsoft's own servers.

Microsoft's enterprise customers have had this capability for some time, using a bare-bones tool available to IT professionals.

An extensible and adaptable UI shell known as CShell is already being worked on by Microsoft to serve as the foundation for the user interface for not only Polaris but also Andromeda and Windows Core OS as a whole.

As Marisa Rogers, Microsoft's privacy officer for its Windows and Devices Group, told me, the idea here is to give users the option to see "that next layer of transparency from Microsoft" and allow them to verify that the company is doing what its documentation says.

Product and Service Performance data includes performance and reliability events and information about device health. It's important to note that this functionality is not meant to capture user viewing or, listening habits.

Details about the usage of the device, operating system, applications, and services.

Two additional categories are mostly associated with the Full Diagnostic Data setting.

Available to everyone in the Microsoft Store, the programme called "Windows Diagnostic Data Viewer" is separate from the Microsoft Privacy Dashboard and allows you to see, search, and take action with your diagnostic data.

Microsoft also announced that it has updated its Microsoft Privacy Dashboard with a new Activity History page.

Unlike other Surface devices, Surface Laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 10 S OS, a specific configuration of Windows 10 Pro that's streamlined for security and performance.

Microsoft's telemetry information collection is categorized at four levels.

Microsoft lately has faced a lot of scrutiny over the way and volume of data it collects with Windows 10.
