Where Can the Rare Celestial Event on January 31 Be Seen?

The astrologer explained that the phenomenon is "a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90 per cent of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit". The moon sets soon after, so inland USA should be able to get a better view of the Blue Supermoon Eclipse just a few minutes after.

Stargazers living in the U.S. will be able to see the eclipse before sunrise on Wednesday, according to Nasa.

Because of its relatively close proximity to the Earth, the celestial body's surface appears a lot bigger when a supermoon occurs.

If you plan on stepping outdoors and looking skywards to catch the super blue blood moon yourself, it's vital you know the best time to catch it.

"Now you might think at that time the moon should just disappear because there's no direct sunlight getting to it, but it takes on a red or copper glow because a little bit of sunlight passes through the earth's atmosphere, bending around the earth and illuminating the moon with its eerie reddish colour". It will also be visible in this part of the world!

Chances are you have used the phrase "once in a blue moon" - but have you ever wondered where it came from? Because of the eclipse, however, this particular moon will appear dimmer.

A blue moon is called that because two full moons have occurred in one calendar month.

The only light that can be seen is refracted through the earth's shadow, and this light looks red just like with the sunset.

For observers living in NY or Washington D.C., the space agency suggests a 6.45 a.m. ET start for the best viewing. The darker umbra reaches the Moon at 3:48 AM, and the Moon will be totally in the umbra from 4:51 AM until 6:08 AM.

RELEASE THE MEMO: DOJ Seeks to BLOCK CONGRESS from Releasing FISA Bombshell
The committee reportedly could vote as soon as next week on whether to move to have the memo released. But others fear a smear campaign and say the document is based on misleading information.

Residents living in the Central Time Zone will have the best viewing since the action begins when the Moon is higher in the western sky on January 31, according to NASA officials.

Al Hariri is encouraging residents to join the event by the astronomy group to learn more about celestial events.

So, people on the East Coast are scr. out of luck? Tickets for the event cost Dh10 for kids, Dh20 for adults and Dh30 for a family of four members.

This will be the first of two lunar eclipses in 2018.

The entire celestial event will be webcast live by global space agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) starting at 5:30 a.m. EST (1030 GMT). Since the Earth's shadow is larger than the moon, the eclipse will last for more than an hour, starting at 5:51 a.m. and ending at 7:07 a.m.

What is a super moon?

If the tree were planted before Tu B'Shvat, that time counts as one year by the time to holiday arrives - even if we planted it one day before the new year.

You are going to need a heavy jacket, though.
