The Met Office has issued a fresh warning for ice and snow from Monday night.

On ground above between 500 and 800 feet, there could be between 3 and 6 cms of snow with some drifting also possible in the strong winds.

More snow showers are likely throughout the day today but accumulations will be unlikely to be more than a couple of centimeters.

Meanwhile, a Status-Yellow snow-ice warning for 20 counties is due to start this evening at 6pm and is valid until 4am.

The Met Office says between 0.5cm and 3cm of snow could fall in the region but some places above 200m could see between 7cm and 10cm of snow.
