No, we are not talking about the Redmi Note 5, rather, it's the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It provides a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery. On the specifications front, majority are shared with the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Additionally, it could sport an 8-megapixel front camera sensor with 1080p video recording. It will come with Micro-USB and unlikely to support fast charging.

It measures 158.5 x 74.45 mm and it weighs 180 grams. With the new 18:9 aspect ratio and bezel-less design, the new model will likely feature a larger display panel in a body that is roughly the same as that of last year's model.

Jain said, both the devices feature powerful Snapdragon processors and have features and camera specifications at very competitive prices. Up front, there's a 5MP secondary camera for selfies alongside LED light support, as mentioned earlier. It houses a 12MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF).
