The device also comes with Android Nougat software and has face recognition for logging in to the device.

The most affordable entry from Alcatel this MWC, the Alcatel 1X isn't just a budget device, but it runs on Android Go, a lite version of Android 8 Oreo that's created to operate on smartphones with 1GB RAM or lesser.

When Alcatel first announced its 5, 3v and 1x series of smartphones at CES 2018, the company left out vital information related to each series of device's specific technical specifications. A 3000 mAh battery is there in the phone that comes with Face Unlock feature.

Next up is the Alcatel 3X, which is a bit bigger with a 5.7-inch 1400 x 720 IPS display, 13MP and 5MP dual cameras, 3GB RAM mated to a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor alongside 32GB internal memory and a 3,000mAh battery. The 3X ships with a 5.7-inch display, MT6739 processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android Nougat.

Up in front, a 13MP f/2.0 1.4um sensor is paired with another 5MP 120° wide-angle sensor. The 3V also sports a 2160 x 1080 screen and dual-lens camera, while the 3X has a lower-res 1440- x 720 LCD panel but also packs in a rear two-camera system.

I think the Prime MInister's absolutely on course to deliver what the public voted for - I think she's been determined to do that from day one.

The middle ground of the new lineups includes three phones: the 3, 3X, and 3V, which differ primarily on the size of their display. It has RAM, but you can only opt for 1 or 2GB. The 1X runs a version of Android Oreo created to bring premium features to low-priced devices.

With a starting price of about Rs 8000, the Alcatel 1X is an Android Go Edition that runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

The Alcatel 5 will immediately go up for purchase in select markets in Metallic Black and Metallic Gold. It has a 5.3 inch display, a 13/8 MP camera (depending on region), a 5 MP selfie camera, quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot. It also includes Google Assistant for Android Go.

There are subtle changes in the different devices of the same series, the 3X and the 3V come with a dual camera setup on the rear and support portrait mode while the 3 doesn't. The 7-inch model includes 2,580mAh battery which is claimed to last up to 7 hours while the 10-inch model comes with a 4,000mAh battery which is said to last for up to 8 hours of use. It runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box. It's the first known phone to sport Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) which is optimized for low-powered hardware. Again, what gives? Pricing is €100 for the single SIM version and €110 for the dual one - about $123 and $135, respectively. It is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6580 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The Alcatel 1T 10 has a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280x800 pixels resolution.
