It seems that at least one developer is secretly on the Kojima team.

Needless to say, Kojima himself has nothing to do with Metal Gear Survive, and when asked about it following the game's announcement, stated he feels zombies don't belong in the franchise. Despite sporting a big brand name, "Metal Gear Survive" has failed to debut in the #Top three of the United Kingdom game charts, or even the top five.

Metal Gear Survive players have noticed something a little interesting about the beginning of the game.

No longer can Wales be accused of being shallow. "They just see his press-conference appearances or his words appearing in print". Gareth Anscombe started and had a decent game at 15 and 10, where he switched in the second half after Patchell was taken off.

On the other hand, Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 is doing pretty dang well. The rest of the Top 10 were made by some likely suspects: Call of Duty: WWII and Monster Hunter World to name but two.

This coming week sees the release of the Nintendo Switch version of "Payday 2", making the competition even stiffer. More notable of the bunch is Zero, a staple character of the franchise. However, Metal Gear Survive is a full retail title, so this decision is as anti-consumer and greedy as it can get. Multiple save slots have been standard features in video games since the concept was devised. Metal Gear Survive is way down on the list of concurrent players, now 66th as of writing.

The message is hidden within the game's character creator, in which the player is shown a clipboard with their name on it alongside other soldiers. Konami also makes Pachinko machines and mobile games, so it's possible the company will abandon Triple-A games in favor of these less time consuming and costly markets.
